How to create an AWS Account?

Hello Friends!
In this blog, we will see how to create an AWS Account. It is really simple, just follow along and you’ll be done in Minutes!

A good news: You will get 12 Months of free tier access, starting from the day you sign up on AWS.

Step 1:

Go to portal.aws.amazon.com/billing/signup, or simply click here.

Once the page loads, it should look somewhat like this:

Step 2:

Enter your email address:

Enter e-mail in the first input box

Step 3:

Now you need to enter a password, and you need to repeat the same password again.

Note that, your password must fulfill the conditions mentioned in the image above. These conditions are:

  • Minimum length of the password = 8 characters. (It can be more than 8 characters)
  • Password must include a combination of at least three of the following character types:
    1. UPPERCASE
    2. lowercase
    3. Numbers
    4. Non-alphanumeric Symbols like : !@#$%^&*()_+-=|’
  • It must not be identical to your username or e-mail address which you have used above.

Example of a valid password: Esc2624@12
Please don’t use this password, as it is publicly available.

Step 4:

Now, you need to enter a username.

Now, enter the username in 4th Row

Step 5:

Click on Continue.

Step 6: Now, you will be asked for your contact information.

In the account type, select Personal Type.
Now you just need to enter your username, phone number, select your country, Enter your Address, and rest of the details, and then, click on Create Account and Continue. This is done for security purposes.

After entering all the information, click on Create Account and Continue

Step 7: Now you need to provide your payment information.

If you are using a debit card, then make sure, you enable international transactions on your debit card. Otherwise, your payment will be declined, and your card won’t be accepted.

Note: You will be charged INR 2.0 for verification. This will be refunded once your payment is verified. It usually takes 3–4 business days to show the refund.

Enter your card details, and then choose your address, and click on “Verify and Add” Button.

Step 8: Phone Verification Phase

In this step you will need to verify your identity, by verifying the phone number.
Once you enter the country code and your phone number, enter the captcha and then click on “Call Me Now” button.

On the next screen you will be prompted with a 4-Digit code. Like this,

You will be asked fir this secret code in the future. So keep it handy.

You will receive an automated call from AWS, and you will be asked to enter the 4-Digit number from the number keypad.

Once you enter the correct code, your browser will refresh, and display a message that you have been verified successfully. Then click on “Continue”.

Congrats, your identity has been verified.

Step 9: Selecting A Support Plan

Since you are getting a free tier access for a period of 12 Months from now, you can select the Basic Plan (Free).

Select an AWS Plan. Preferably, the “Basic Plan”

Congratulations! You have successfully created your AWS account. You may sign in to the console now by clicking on the “Sign in to the Console” Button.
